R.U.F Records was set up by Chris Wood in 1992 to release the music he was making. When he established the English Acoustic Collective as an umbrella organisation for his wider projects, R.U.F was incorporated in to the collective.

R.U.F is not a conventional label; it was designed to maximise the revenue stream to the artists and all the artists retain the copyright to their music. The R.U.F catalogue is available here.
